The history briefly
The chalet "BonAccueil" was built in 1756 by David Genetre Abraham Pilet and Jean Pierre Libride. It used to be an isolated farm house situated above the village of Château-d’Oex. In 1931 the Chalet is rented by Mrs Alfred Allistone who accommodates paying guests.
After the war, her son Curtis, who during the war served the British Secret Service and by the end the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation),is back to Château-d’Oex and opens a pension and his first clients are the staff of the BBC. Later Curtis Allistone buys the Chalet Bon Accueil from the family Rosat and creates the Hostellerie bon Accueil which will through the years be refurbished several times.
